Universal Privacy Policy

The School of Barbering LLC | Effective date: September 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The School of Barbering LLC ("School of Barbering," "SOB," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information connected to our memberships, mentorships, coaching programs, courses, communities, challenges, websites, forms, events, support services, and other Services ("Services").

1. Information We Receive

Depending on how you interact with us, we may receive or have access to:

  • Account and profile information, such as your name, email address, profile photo, biography, location, phone number, or social-media links you choose to provide.
  • Membership, program, enrollment, and transaction information, such as Service purchased, plan, payment status, purchase and renewal dates, program dates, cancellation status, refunds, and limited payment details. Full payment-card information is handled by the applicable payment provider and is not intended to be stored by us.
  • Participation and usage information, such as logins, lesson or challenge participation, posts, comments, reactions, event attendance, feedback requests, coaching attendance, messages, and responses to team outreach.
  • Content you submit, including questions, haircut photos or videos, business information, assignments, testimonials, reviews, recordings or other material you choose to post or send.
  • Support, complaint, billing, cancellation, refund, and dispute communications.
  • Information connected with coaching or mentorship, including scheduling information, goals, questions, feedback, and information you voluntarily provide during support or coaching.
  • Technical or usage information made available through platforms we use, such as IP address, device, browser, cookies, login information, and interaction information.

2. How We Use Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Operate, administer, and deliver our Services.
  • Create and manage access to memberships, communities, courses, coaching, and other programs.
  • Process and confirm billing, payments, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and disputes.
  • Provide lessons, challenges, coaching, mentorship, support, feedback, scheduling, and communications.
  • Monitor participation and improve the Services.
  • Respond to questions, complaints, cancellation requests, refund claims, and support requests.
  • Moderate communities and maintain account security.
  • Prevent account sharing, fraud, abuse, infringement, and other misuse.
  • Maintain business, accounting, tax, transaction, security, and dispute records.
  • Enforce our Terms and protect members, our business, and our legal rights.
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations.

3. Platforms and Payment Processing

Our Services may be delivered through third-party platforms and providers, including community, payment, scheduling, communication, analytics, storage, or other service providers. Those providers may collect and process personal information under their own privacy policies and terms.

Payment providers may collect information we do not directly receive, including complete payment-card information. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers ourselves.

If we add a material platform or service that handles member or customer data, we may update this Policy as appropriate.

4. How We Share Information

We may share information as reasonably necessary with:

  • Third-party platforms and payment providers needed to operate and deliver the Services.
  • Authorized owners, coaches, moderators, support personnel, contractors, and service providers who need the information for their role.
  • Lawyers, accountants, insurers, and other professional advisers.
  • Law enforcement, regulators, courts, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
  • Parties involved in a merger, sale, financing, reorganization, acquisition, or transfer of all or part of the business.

Based on our current practices, we do not sell member or customer personal information for money, and we do not share member information for third-party targeted advertising through the Services. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide choices or notices required by applicable law.

5. Community Visibility

Information you post in a community may be visible to other members according to the settings of the applicable platform. Other members may save, screenshot, copy, or otherwise retain information despite community rules.

Do not post payment information, passwords, government identification numbers, private medical information, or anything else you do not want other members to see.

If you upload a client's photo, video, voice, name, or personal information, you are responsible for having permission to do so.

6. Testimonials and Promotional Use

When you intentionally submit a testimonial, review, success story, result, progress update, or similar content for School of Barbering's use, the permissions applicable to that submission are governed by the Universal Terms and any separate release provided.

A routine community post, private message, support request, payment communication, or unrelated conversation is not automatically treated as unlimited permission for outside advertising or promotional use. Where a particular promotional use requires separate permission under applicable law or our process, we may request that permission.

7. Coaching Calls, Recordings, and Communications

Some Services may include calls, coaching sessions, webinars, or other communications that may be recorded where permitted by applicable law. We may use recordings for service delivery, quality control, internal training, documentation, security, dispute resolution, or other legitimate business purposes described in our Terms.

Where applicable law requires notice or consent for recording, we will provide the required notice or obtain the required consent.

8. Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. Retention periods may depend on whether your account remains active and whether information is needed for support, transaction and tax records, dispute resolution, fraud prevention, security, enforcement, backups, or legal compliance.

Some information may remain with third-party platforms under their own retention practices after you stop using a Service.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative and operational measures designed to protect personal information available to us. No online system is completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting your account credentials and should contact us if you believe your account or information has been misused.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information, and in some jurisdictions additional rights such as opting out of certain processing or appealing a denied request.

Because third-party platforms control parts of certain Services, we may direct you to the applicable platform for information or actions that only that platform can provide.

To make a privacy request, use the official School of Barbering support method or mail the request to the address below. Include 'Privacy Request,' your account email, the right you want to exercise, and enough information for us to verify the account. Do not send a password or full payment-card number.

We may retain information when allowed or required for billing, tax, security, dispute, legal, or other legitimate purposes.

11. Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13. Services that involve a purchase or enrollment are intended for people who can legally enter into the applicable purchase agreement. If you believe a child provided personal information without proper authorization, contact us so the issue can be reviewed.

12. International and State-Specific Rights

Our customers and members may live in different states or countries. Privacy rights and obligations can vary by jurisdiction. Nothing in this Policy is intended to remove rights that cannot legally be waived. Where applicable law provides additional rights, we will handle qualifying requests according to that law.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as our Services, platforms, business practices, or applicable law change. The updated version will show a new effective date. We will provide additional notice when a material change requires it.
